Kintsugi is a Japanese tradition of repairing broken pottery - filling the cracks with precious metals such as gold, silver or platinum. There is evidence of the damage but the pottery is beautiful in a new way. This painting was created for those of us who have been broken and mended ourselves to become a different kind of beautiful.
